LOINNIR 1996
The 1996 Sculpture Trail was inspired by E. Buffet who transformed thousands of acres of barren land into vibrant woodland and by Joseph Bueys who recognised this as a work of art.
This concept was developed under the direction of artists Tom Meskell, Seamus Kennedy, and Mickey McFadden.
Eight groves of eight indigenous trees were sponsored by local businesses and planted on sites in the grounds of Ballyconnell House, Falcarragh National School, and Cloughaneely Community School.
Sculptures by local artists and children were sited amongst the groves of trees.
